What are the contents of CNC machining process
There are many adjustments to be made in the process of CNC machining. Due to the differences of machining parts, some adjustments need to be made before operation. Let's take a look at how to adjust the workpiece coordinate system in CNC machining?
When adjusting the workpiece coordinate system, the operator shall set the reference point beyond the physical (geometric) length of all tools, at least on the tool position of the longest tool.
As for the workpiece coordinate system on the workpiece installation drawing, the operator obtains it by setting the offset of the machine coordinate system on the machine tool. In other words, the operator sets a reference point on the machine tool, finds the scale between the reference point the zero point of the workpiece coordinate system set by the programmer, sets this scale as the workpiece coordinate system offset.
On the lathe, the reference point can be set on the turning center of the tool holder, the tool tip of the reference tool other directions. If no other movement is attached, the zero point instructed by the programmer is the zero position of the tool holder (machine tool) moving to the offset.
At this moment, if the reference point is set at the rotation center of the tool holder, the tool holder must collide with the workpiece. In order to ensure no collision, the reference point on the machine tool shall be set only outside the tool holder, but also outside all tools. In this way, the reference point will collide with the workpiece even if the tool is installed on the tool holder.
On the milling machine, the datum points of the X Y axes are on the axis of the spindle. However, the reference point of z-axis can be set at the spindle end a point outside the spindle end. If it is at the spindle end, when the command is zero, the spindle end will reach the zero direction specified in the coordinate system.
At this moment, the end face key of the spindle end will collide with the workpiece: if the spindle is equipped with a tool, it must collide with the workpiece. To ensure no collision, the reference point on the z-axis shall be set outside all tool lengths. Even if no other movement is attached, the reference point will collide with the workpiece.
CNC machining is only a part of adjusting workpiece coordinate system, so what about CNC machining process?
(1) The skill preparation process includes market investigation, prediction, new product judgment, process design, standardization review, etc. before the product is put into production.
(2) Technological process refers to the process of directly changing the scale, shape, mutual orientation, surface roughness function of raw materials semi-finished products to become products. For example, liquid forming, plastic forming, welding, powder forming, cutting, heat treatment, surface treatment, assembly, etc. all belong to the process. A technical document that can be used to guide the production of a reasonable technological process is called a technological procedure.
(3) Auxiliary production process refers to the auxiliary production activities necessary for the normal operation of the basic production process.
(4) Production service process refers to the arrangement, transportation, storage, supply of raw materials, product packaging, sales other processes.
